Kaw Camp is an afterschool program at Lecompton Elementary. We are in our second year on this grant and we are having a blast. Thirty-six 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders divide into four groups and do some of the following activities:
-math
-reading
-P.E.
-art
We also have homework time every day.
We are utilizing the latest technology with our iPads we use in the classroom and the iPod Touches the children check out.
We have some exciting things planned this year and we're off to a great start.
Thank you for your parent and community support of this program.

Mr. Wayne Ledbetter came to talk to the kids about democracy. At first our "king" picked broccoli for everyone. Then we voted on our snack for the day. |
Next he grouped the students by where they lived and they picked representatives to choose the game we'd play next. |
Day One - Our whole group! |
Group 1 is hard at work |
Group 4 - good listening! |
Sometimes we have snack outside |
Lots of silliness happening here |
All in a row |
